Our VERY FIRST E-mail!!!

We've got an e-mail, we've got an e-mail, we've got an e-mail HEY HEY HEY!
I can already see her growth after being there for 5 days. She's so excited and happy to be serving the Lord! THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!!

June 27th, 2011

Wow! I don't even know where to start! I was hoping that I would see an email from you guys today! Thank you cassie for yours and daddy for your letter! It meant a lot to read that after this week, and I know that it will mean a lot in the coming weeks! Pardon my typing or mis-spelling because I am trying to write fast because I only get 30 min on the computer. I love you guys so much! I have gotten a letter from Brennon, Lacey and Dad. Thank you all so much for your support.

Daddy I received your letter today and I hadn't realized how much I miss home until today. I started bawling (in a happy way because I am so thankful for the letter!) Dad I love you and I am so glad that you are going to keep that journal you are talking about. I think that will be a great blessing to our entire family including me! I would love to read it someday.

Momma, I miss you and I love you so much. I heard that sis bates comforted you. That is so sweet. Mom and Dad you dont need to be sad because honestly this is the most amazing week I have ever had in my life. I have learned so much in just 5-6 days that I cant even imagine how much I will learn and grow in the next 18 months. Just pray and everything will be okay because I can testify that prayer has comforted me this week.

Cas thank you for the email! That was cool to see pictures of you! I have taken SOME pictures at the MTC and I will be sending them home with the tape in the next week or so!

Hannah. I miss you little girl! I have been thinking about our family this week when I come back to my room. Know that I am super focused and I am not letting myself get homesick at all but just know that I love you and I think of you all! Hannah and shar I want to hear how camp went and what you are up to! And I want to let you know that you can email me whenever during the week and I will get it on monday. But I can read letters any day of the week!

Shar! How are you little baby? miss you! Tell me about your first time at camp! SORE? I bet you are. I love you and just know that I am doing great and that I love the mission so much already that I just want to tell the WORLD about the gospel and I want to tell everyone who is thinking about it to GO ON A MISSION. It is the BEST decision that I have EVER made. THe mission is hard hard hard but it is more worth it than you can ever know.

Boys! How was the end of school! I miss you little munchkins! If you were here I would ask you to give me kisses on the cheek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MILLIONS OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :] :] xoxoxoxoxo telll me your plans for summer and what you guys are up to! Everyone keep me updated on the world ( that goes with mission rules of course) because I forgot that there are actually people out in the world....and stores and houses and TV and internet hahaha.

Heres a little bit of my mission experience of the mish so far. I only have 13 min left so I need to be quick! I LOVE MY COMPANION WITH ALL MY HEART! Her name is sis. Medina and she is from Mexico city but currently lives in UTAH. SHe is an amazing example to me and we are already best friends. She is SO THE SAME AS ME IN EVERY WAY. I cant even tell you how cool it has been. I kniow that our companionship was inspired because we compliment each other in teaching so well! One thing that I wanted to share with you is that her father passed away a month ago and she is the strongest person that I have ever met. She just finds peace in the fact that she will see him again and that just strengthens my testimony of eternal families. I am so thankful that we are sealed for time and all eternity and I am so blessed to have you as my family. Thank you for all of your love and support. I have a feeling that sis medina and I will be life-long friends. And she is going to me samemission! I hope that she gets to be my companion someday! Besides the MTC. \

I have had so many amazing experiences so far that I cant even tell you everything. My tape that I am sending has a lot of that and it is coming soon I promise! But lets just say that I was one of the lucky few that this experience happens to. The mission pres seminar was this week and there were TONS of General authorities and mission presidents here and I got to see them and hear from them! I met my mission president and his wife and that was an amazing experience. The MTC is awesome. THe food is pretty good and dad it's not a "toilet fest" anymore hahahaha. I am trying out to sing at a meeting this week! Sister medina a nd I have taught once and we are teaching again tonight and tomorow some investigators. This is a new thing that the MTC is doing. They are having us teach about 20 times before we actually go to the field. How cool is that?!?!!? We teach a guy named matt tobar today and we have already taught a guy named christian. He was a little difficult but it was a great expeirence and I think we did well concerning that it was out first time. We are teaching matt the restoration today and we are teaching a couple tomoro. I t will be a great experience.

Momma, I need that brown wondertee. I can order one here so let me know if you are sending me one or if I need to order one. PS the mission rules that we went by are so much more strict that we thought. Sisters are dressed SO CUTE! But I have gotten alot of compliments on what I have. I dont need those compliments but I guess just to let you know that they are good. OMGOSH! I have to end! I wish I could write forever but I have to go!

In the last week I have learned so much on how to teahc by the spirit and I have learned GREAT HUMILITY. I am little by little notching at my pride but this has been so very humbling. I love you all so much and I will hopefully hear from you soon.

Have you written a missionary today?

Imagine sacrificing a year and a half of your life to serve the Lord and Savior preaching and testifying of the Gospel and all of it's truthfulness...but never hearing from home? We don't want our missionary to go a single day without knowing that she's loved and supported!

Please help us on this journey :)

Missionaries will always appreciate some love, encouragement and comfort from home. If you haven't written Corynn yet, I know that she would greatly appreciate it :)

You can do this a few different ways:

1. Write her a hand-written letter to the address on her blog. She will be in the MTC for the next few weeks. When she leaves the MTC, her address will be updated as soon as we know!

2. Use the handy-dandy dearelder.com! This website is quick and easy in sending letters to missionaries while in the MTC. You can send them anytime Monday-Friday and they'll receive them either that same day or the next day (depends on the time of sending)!

3. ALSO- if you would like to receive her weekly e-mails, let ME (her sister Cassie) know either on Facebook or through my e-mail (casandrafine@gmail.com).

Thank you so much for your appreciation and support of our beloved and beautiful missionary!

And SHE'S OFF!

Well, the day has arrived...the day Sister Lora Corynn Fine enters the Provo MTC starting the next 18-month adventure of her life. Our entire family woke up this morning at 3:30 to drive Sister Fine to the airport and let me tell you, it was TOUGH. Not the waking up early part...the actual action of saying good-bye. The emotion, the nerves, the excitement all jumbled together made the experience sad but memorable. We are all going to miss her so much but can't wait to see her growth in the mission field serving the Lord!

Loading up the suitcases!
All smiles :)

A Beautiful Weekend!

Hello everyone! This is Corynn's younger sister Cassie and I will be taking care of Corynn's blog while she's on her mission to Las Vegas Nevada :) I will be posting her e-mails and new pictures weekly and keeping you updated on all of her beautiful mission experiences.

This weekend was a BEAUTIFUL weekend. We hosted family that traveled far and not far in our home in celebration of Corynn's mission. We hosted a hoppin' Triple Bash party which included celebrating Corynn's 22nd birthday (which is today June 20th, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!), her graduation from WSU and her mission farewell open house. It was a blast and are so thankful for all who came to support Corynn and see her off on this next adventure.
