My papers went in on February 20th, and today is March 3rd! Its been 11 days and every time I think about my call I get butterflies! I am getting really excited, sometimes to the point that I have very odd dreams about where I am going.
The other night I had a dream that for the first few months I went to Pennsylvania and then went to Africa. Hahaha. I can't explain why, but I know that my dad was happy to hear that because my dad served in what is apparently the greatest mission on earth (they all say that ;] ) Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
My family is coming to Pullman this weekend and if my call comes in the mail before they hit the road they will be bringing it with them! If it doesn't come before then, I will be opening it during Spring Break so I can have more family and friends there when I open it.
I am very excited and I know that the Lord will call me to the mission that I need to go, for my growth, but more importantly for the service of the Lord and the people that the Lord will place in my way.
I love the Lord, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the fullness of the gospel on the earth today and that it is true. I know that in reading and adhering to the teachings of the Bible and the Book of Mormon and the words of the Modern Day Prophets and Apostles, we will be able to follow Christ and be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I am so thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ so that we all have a chance to repent of our sins and become better people. I hope to be able to share this good news with those who are ready to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. I say this personal testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Love, Lora Corynn Fine
Lovely entry. Thank you for sharing your testimony with all of us!
ReplyDeleteI remember the weird dreams while waiting for my call. I had one that I served in Massachusettes. I woke up so bummed that I'd gone stateside. Haha, little did I know the Lord wanted me even closer than that!
I'm excited to find out where you are going to Coryn, everytime I see a blog update I think "Ohhh, did she get her call yet!?" Beautiful entry, and I really enjoyed reading your testimony :)
