She's ON FIRE!

Hi Everyone!

I love you so much and I am so grateful for you and the support you give! You are amazing and I miss you! Things are going great here in Green Valley. We are covering 3 wards and they are Quail Ridge, Whitney Ranch and Green Valley ward. They are all awesome and we use the members every day to help us! We are teaching a lot of people right now and it is so awesome. We have Bonnie, Bagget Family, Bill, Jason, Danielle who are our main people right now. Matt Bagget, Jason and Danielle have baptismal dates and Bill is super awesome! We didn't even ask him if he would be baptized and he just brought up yesterday that his brother in law was going to come down and baptize him. At the beginning of the lesson he asked for a blessing so that he could stop being stressed out about finding a job. He didn't get the job he wanted...we were sad about that but he is awesome because he has faith that this will lead him to where he really is supposed to be. We showed him the font at the church and he was so amazed! Hopefully we will be able to set him for baptism in the next lesson. The Bagget fam is awesome. They are a part member family and only the wife is a member. Before I got here, sis Mattew and sis Hanny taught them the lessons and set him for baptism. I have met with them a few times with sis Mathew and Matt is getting baptized on AUG 13. We are so happy. They have two little boys named elijah and nathaniel. Matt came to church with the boys and I gave them stickers and pictures to play with. I gave them the pictures I had of Joseph smith in the grove, the prophet, the gorgeous Las Vegas temple and of Jesus Christ. They were happy. Now every time I see them they attack me asking me for stickers hahaha. It is awesome. They are so sweet. Matt is doing his best to quit smoking. It seems as though everyone smokes down here. It is really sad but it is awesome because they want us to help them. And we love it! We taught Bonnie last night and we were determined to ask her to be baptized. We asked her and she said that she cant yet because she has been smoking for 30+ years and she doesnt think she can quit and also her family said that they will disown her. But she told us last night that she knows this church is true and she has an amazing heart. I told her last night that maybe my fam will come down after the mission and tour with me all the places and meet all the people that I helped teach and she just gasped and said she would love to meet all of my family. So hopefully you guys can tour with me after Jan 1st (when my mission ends). The Lord truly blesses us in finding the elect that are ready to hear the gospel. We met up with this lady named elaine and she is so cool. You can tell when someone is ready to hear the gospel because she basically was saying everything that we were going to teach her. As sister mattew and I were going back and forth teaching her priciples of the restoration I soon realized that the first vision would land on my turn. I had been struggling to memorize it and I got a little nervous. But I said a little prayer and all of a sudden it was my turn. I know that the spirit was with me and that God loves elaine because he put the words in my mouth, word for word what I needed to say. For that time that I was telling her the story my eyes went white. I couldn't see anything but white. It was so odd but I know that elaine needed to hear it that day. We asked her to get baptized in the first lesson and she said that Aug 13th seems too soon but she says that if she finds that what were are telling her is true, then she will be baptized.

I wish that I could tell you everything that happens here but seriously I would never stop writing. I just pray that the spirit will be with us as we go on every day. Things have been going wonderful and I can tell you that without a doubt, I KNOW that this is Jesus Christs only true church on the earth. That statement is bold but true. And I say that not with an attitude of boasting, but invitation and gratitude. I know that we have Jesus Christ's priesthood on the earth and that the authority has been restored. And this gospel is the original truths that Jesus Christ taught, with no distortions or variations. I love you all and I miss you. I am doing well and I love me companion. She is going home in the next few weeks and going to hawaii. I told her to find cassie and convert her to missionaryness. I just want to tell everyone to go on a mission. It is the best decision that I have ever made in my life and it is an incredible experience.

My companion is amazing. She is a silly girl and we have so much fun together. She sets a great example for me and I hope to grow as she has. I have been the driver out of us two ever since I got here. I guess that she hit a tree or something before the mission hahaha. So I am the only one with driving priviledges. It is good I think because it helps me get to know the area better. IT is a blessing.

Well I would like to give the weekly weight report....hahaha jk. But seriously...I am the same weight as always. But wow the members feed us like crazy! Think about when we have the missionaries and the meals that we have prepared when they come over to our house....yea the members think that they have to feed us the most extravagent (sp??? haha) food in the world so by the time I get home who knows if I will even fit on the plane. hahaha. Anyways the heat is wow. It has gotten up to 110 or so and im getting brownish. :] I have a pretty awesome sis missionary tan going on....but no watch tan in sight yet. hahaha. Oh the little things. Yes I did get the packaage with the wonder tees! Thank you! THey are really cute colors. I havenet figured out what I can wear with them yet tho...BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH! THEY SAVE MY LIFE. My clothes we bought are awesome but I need more light stuff. Did you get my tape? Hopefully! Im glad that you got the pics and stuff. Today is my pday and I only get letters given to me on this day. I got one from you guys :], Nick, Eric and Jesse. They shall be fun to read! It looks like nick sent me a tape so I am excited to hear it! I actually am going to get G's today at the distrubution center. I am so thankful that we are going today! I cant take these G's anymore, my bottoms are too small and it cuts off my circulation. They have since I got em so I am excited. I miss sis medina but I get to see her tomorrow at New mish training. I sang at the last one for everyone and they seemed to like it. I love singing here. I also just tried out to sing at a fireside for investigators and I have been prompted to sing JS's first prayer. I hope it'll turn out good. Havent strated biking yet! I I hope I answered all of your questions....love you love you! MWAH XOXOXOXOXO

Love your's truly, Sister Fine

  1. Okay so this is really silly but I have to tell you about my keys because this totally happened to me! I'm not sure if you know but I was baptised on July 9th by Jacob Snyder my boyfriend because I've been taking lessons from the missionaries at his house with his family. I was confirmed a member of LDS the next day at church, and to my surprise every day since then was HORRIBLE! I was expecting the complete opposite but one thing after another kept happening. A week ago I lost my phone and my keys (in my house!!!) and searched ALL over but couldn't find them, I prayed and prayed to keep my spirit up and help me get through this. Today in relief society our speaker was sharing a story about how silversmiths have to burn silver in the hottest part of the flame to burn away all the impurities and this really struck me because I know this related to why my days were going so badly. The story goes that you have to burn it until all the imperfections are gone and then take it out right at the last second when you can see your reflection, the speaker shared this with us because this happens to us until the lord can "see his reflection in us" and I knew that there was a lesson behind it all so i finally prayed about it but differently. I recognized the lesson that was being taught to me and how I needed to let go of these silly things, yes my phone was expensive and keys are hard to replace but in the larger picture it was something I needed to not worry about and get in my way so i made peace with it and thanked the lord for my lesson. RIGHT as i ended my prayers i got a text from my mom saying she had found my phone and keys. needless to say, i cried!! haha but it was very moving for me and very inspirational.
I hope craniel's mission is going well! looks like it :] love and miss my fine sisters!
