Bears, Beets and Battlestar Galactica (this was the title of her e-mail, entirely Sister Fine!)

Dear Family and Friends,

Hahaha I dont know why I put that is my subject hahaha. Anyways!

So this week has been pretty intense! At one point this week we had 9 people set for baptism. Pretty insane. Our Zone has this thing where every time we set someone for baptism we send out a text. And the elders basically hate us this week because we text something out almost every day hahaha. All the Baptisms are this next transfer. And we found out today about transfers. I am staying here with sister Garner for atleast one more transfer and then my prediction is that I will be moved out and training next transfer.

Wow that is so cool that Nick came to our house and stayed the night. Seriously he is amazing. He is has definatley been there for me and I am so proud of him and the decision and hard work he has put forth to preparing for a mission. He is going to be an amazing missionary! Plus he sells cars so he has a lot of experience talking to people. He has been great to me and I am grateful. Don't worry, I am not distracted. I am focused and working hard. :]

So can you address more stuff that I wrote you guys because I want to hear about what you think of everything I say and send and stuff. I dont really know what you are thinking. hahaha, you know how I am, I just want to know everything. Oh and by the way since transfers are tomorrow, we havent gotten mail today, because they are giving it to us tomorrow. Bummer deal. O well. I will get it and read it tomorrow. Except since sister Garner and I are staying here in Green Valley for atleast another transfer, we cant go to the transfer conference. It would just waste proselyting time. So I wont get my mail for a few days prolly. Every monday before transfers we have a thing called staygo's. It is when we get together as a zone and the zone leaders tell us whether we are going or staying. And when they got to me they were like...."sister fine, you are going..........................to stay ahahaha." What punks. Anyways yep! I am actually thankful because I want to see all of these amazing people get baptized.

This week was the first time I have ever gotten sick on the mission. It was pretty tough but I really didn't care because there was work to be done. I just had a really bad cold and really bad tummy yucks. But its okay. :] Im ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL Better!

Okay here are some pictures!

the first one is of our distract this transfer.
the second is we got bonnie up to the temple. By the way we picked her back up again, and now since we brought her to the temple, she is determined to quit smoking. She has been smoking for 32 years and she has already gotten down to a pack a day! What an awesome thing! We are helping her and it is amazing to see. It has been pretty intense but she is taking baby steps towards baptism and the temple! What else could we ask of her?!?!?!
the next one is at the relief society broadcast. I loved the candy so I wanted to take it home with me.
This last one on this email is me and sister medina. I freaking love her. She feels like home to me.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for conference. It is like superbowl for missionaries. I am so stoked. I was at the Relief Society broadcast this last saturday and I was thinking, I wonder if my mom is listening to this right now as I am listening to it. Or cassie even! :] I dont know if you were or not but I just loved the thought that we might have been bowing our heads in prayer together at the same time. I loved the talks that were given. Especially Uchdorf's talk about things that we should never forget. That is DEFINATLEY something that I needed to hear at that moment. It is something that I have been told by all of my family members and friends all my life, and I just need to do it. If you don't know what I am talking about he was just giving us advice about how we can feel better and more confident about ourselves. I need that. Everyday I still see myself get hard on myself and how much I want to be a better missionary. I guess I am blinded by the good things that I do. I dont know....hmmmmm

We had an awesome fireside last night. It is called the "why I believe fireside." It is especially for missionaries, their recent converts and investigators. We had one of our I's come and he seemed to enjoy it. His name is Balil. He is 17 and living with members. He was sitting next to me last night and he leaned over and told me that he knows the church is true because of a dream he had. He said that his brother is going to come down on the 8th to baptize him. We are so excited!

We were supposed to have a baptism yesterday but carey just wasn't ready yet. So he reset his own date for oct 22nd. Which is more reasonable for his current circumstances. He knows its true and wants to get baptized. I do not know if you recall the story of how we found him but basically, he got a card that we had originally gave to someone else, called us and everything just fell into place since then. It is an amazing miracle. I seriously see miracle everyday!

I love all of our investigators. But I have to admit, sundays are so hard because all week we are trying to get them to come to church and understand the importance about keeping their committments, and then they dont show up! SOOOO Frusterating. I can see satan working hard too. THey always text us with these lame excuses of why they dont come! AHHHHHHHH! I just wanna scream somtimes! But it is because I love them so much and I know the happiness this will give them. Anyways...I know that there are so many things that I have not written about but my time is up! Love you and miss you!

Love, yours truly Sister Fine

Isn't she just beautiful? I miss her with all my heart.

3 Months Already?!?

Hello family!

How art thou? I miss all of your guts! I wish I could be there to see all the fun stuff you guys are doing but I am in the right place. Its been 3 months already wow. That went by fast. This is the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life but the most amazing as well. We have 5 people set for baptism right now. :] And tha tis all in one ward. We are working hard in our other 2 wards too but we cant seem to get much work there right now. We have Gerry, Jason, Balil, Carey and Alex set. Also we have a few more coming. It looks like we might not baptize this transfer :( because all of the baptisms are set for october. We would have had them sooner, but the people's readiness is more important than monthly and transfer numbers. I love our investigators. I feel that I was sent here to find these people. As you do missionary work though, you see how they never convert because of you, they convert because of the spirit. Which is how it is supposed to be. I love seeing that relationship developing between our investigators and our Heavenly Father. That is the best thing when you see them feel the spirit.

For alex's lessons in particular I have felt the spirit the strongest. This is the lady where during labor both her and baby baby troy had a great chance of dying. But due to a miracle, they are both here with us today. Every time we have a lesson with her I feel of God's love for her so strongly. I get goosebumps all over and my heart pounds like crazy. That last lesson we had with her we set her for baptism for oct 9th. She wanted it to be on that day because that is the 6 month mark of when her baby miracle happened. What a special day that will be. We are so excited. In her ward there was a ward campout and she wanted to go really bad. She was so excited for it that she make desserts for it! Wow she's mormon already and she doesn't know it. hahahaha.

ANother thing that touched our hearts last night is one of our investigators text us a sweet message. This is the guy carey who called us because his roomate's son had gotten a card from us. Do you remember that story? Well he has been doing really well, and we text him Moroni 7:33-34 and he responded with how much he loved us and how much he is thankful for us helping him be uplifted. We asked him if we could do anything for him and he said, no, to just rest well. :] I dont know you just had to be there. I love seeing this gospel change people's lives.

Bob is back home from the hospital. I was SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY to see him. If he lives til the end of my mission I want you to meet him so badly. We are arranging for him to go and atleast do confirmations in the temple (since he is in a wheelchair and he cant do baptisms). But I cant wait for that day when we can see him go through the temple for the first time. I love that man, and I am so glad that he is doing better. He has to do dialysis 3 times a week... :( yucky yucky. But he has such a sweet spirit about him. While he was in the hospital for about 5 weeks, the ward to such good care of him. I was sad that we could never go see him in the hospital because it was completely out of our zone. But I would call him every couple of days to see if we could cheer him up. He is such a stinker pants. hahahaha I cant wait til you guys meet him and everyone else I have come into contact with here.

I can see the letters dwindling down a little since ive been out about 3 months. hahaha. Sad that it happens to every missionary but the Lord is on our side so he will always let us know we are loved from home some way or another :]. I got 2 things from Nick (thank you so much nick you are the sweetest!) and one from elder Hatch.

I am really happy because I can actually go outside and not be soaking wet after 5 minutes hahaha. Its around the 90's this time of the year. I think that I stopped getting color on my arms. Im just too dark for my own good hahaha. Im just kidding.

I am so proud of my little baby siblings. I wish that I could see Britton's football games, hannah and shar killing is on the soccer field and caden just being a cute little boy. I wish I could also see cassie and how happy she is with john and in Hawaii. I want you to do what the Lord says. I miss you little tas tas. Kisses and loves.

Mom and Dad, thank you for the never-ending love and support you give me. I love you so much and I am so thankful for such wonderful parents. Sometimes when times get tough, I think of you and I have that determination to go on. I want to make you and our Heavenly Father proud. I am doing well and I am always seeking ways to become better. Sometimes that gets me into overanalyzing and getting complex with my thoughts, and that is how the adversary works on me. SO I pray that through my mission I will be able to overcome that trial with my Father's help.

I sung in sacrement meeting again this week. I think that the people keep hearing me and requesting me. haha. That makes me feel good. I just love sharing my testimony that way. I am singing in a nursing home this next sunday. I will let you know how it goes. :] I love nursing homes. There was this member that lives there and we went to go visit him. He was a patriarch and he was so sweet. He was very mentally and physically disabled but everything that he talked about was so positive and uplifting! It made me want to be a better missionary. I was so thankful for his example. What a cute little old fart! :] hahaha. I miss you guys and I think about you lots. I hope that I can hear from you in a package with a tape in it this next week :) hint hint. hahahaha mwah mwah!

How is school going? Where art my little baby siblings? I want to hear from those little poops. Give them kisses for me. Yes momma, we push the mormon.org thing like crazy down here. We encourage every member to make a profile. DO you have one that I can look at yet?

Oh tell hannah to look up a book called Cake pops, I think she would like making them! Its like the cupcake books yea? Check it out! They are so cute! Tell dad we are teaching a ex-pro baseball player from the dodgers and his family. His name is Lester Douglas. He is awesome. He is ready to be baptized but he doesn't know it yet! We are teaching his son tonight!

It is insane how much your heart goes into the lives of the people here. My heart is full of love for them. Someday they will be real to you because hopefully you will get to meet all of them! I love you guys so much! I better go for now but HURRAH FOR ISRAEL!

Pictures are....at chicken shack (the best yum yum), with our car (his name is elder hahaha), and of me and sister Garner with a lady named beth evans who drove us to the temple this past tuesday. Wow that day was rough! We went at the early session and then did a full prosyleting day. I could hardly keep my eyes open hahaha. Man I cant ever remember all the stuff I want to say.

BUT I LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE you!

Yours Truly, Sister Fine

Stay Tuned for Another Story...

Aloha Everyone!

Remember to continue writing Corynn, she needs love and support now more then ever.

Thanks so much!

Love,

Cassie :)

Hey family!

I heard from Karyn Nash, John Fryhoff, Leslie Burnette, and Elder Burbidge this week. Nick sent an email saying that I was getting something from him but I didn't see it this week! Hopefully next week, I look forward to hearing from him all the time. It sounds like he is going to be out in the field around january. That will be so cool for him.

I am looking forward to the tape and pictures, that will be amazing. I heard dad, hannah, and cassie's voice last and not everyone else so that will be cool! I cant wait because I know that it will make me laugh!

Tomorrow we have interviews with President Neider and I am always the one that they ask to sing for things. I am so blessed to be able to share my love of singing with others, as well as my testimony of the gospel. I will tell you how interviews go! Hopefully it will be good. I can't wait til president Neider gets to know me better so he can help me more with the things I need to grow individually and as a missionary of the Lord.

We have set like 4 people for baptism this week. It has been amazing!!!!! We took Gerry to the temple this last saturday and he felt the spirit really strong. We found a quiet corner outside the temple and had a lesson there about 3rd Nephi 11 and Baptism. He set his own date but it is WAY farther away than we expected it. We cant force him to get baptized before then but we will keep trying to help him understand why it is better to get baptized sooner than later. My friend Bob is in the hospital. He is going through dialysis and he is not feeling well. I really hope that he is still alive when he has the opportunity to go to the temple next July. I think that you know when the elect of God is when they understand that baptism is only the first step towards the ultimate goal which is the temple and living with God forever in the midst of our families. It is cool because Gerry knows that the temple is the ultimate goal too. It is such a blessing. THis week I will be going the the temple with our zone on thursday morning. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! The temple helps me so much! It gets me spiritually filled!

This transfer is so different from the first!  And I am pretty sure that sister Garner and I will be staying in this area together for at least another transfer. This transfer ends on the 20 something of sept. It should be interesting what happens. I am always getting more familiar with the area and the people which is awesome! But I know that as soon as I get comfy I will be transferred out hahaha. That is just the way it works. :]

Tell all the kids that I am so proud of them. They are doing amazing things with their lives.

Well wow I am thinking of things to write. THe temp is not going to be in the triple digets til next summer. Atleast that is what I hear! I am really hoping so! THins morning was the first time I have danced in a long time. I still got it but hahaha I am a little rough around the edges. We just bust out some EFY music this morning in the gym and we did technique. Sister Garner likes to sing and dance too. However, she wont perform with me ahhhh!!!! hahaha. Tell the tumwater and crimson girls that I miss them and I hope that all is well with the season so far.

Daddy, wowee grizzley bears huh? Um please don't die, thanks. hahaha.I miss all of you guys and I hope that everything is going well. I pray for your safety each day and night and for your testimonies to always be strengthened with the experiences that you have. ALl of you remember that I love you alot and I cannot wait for all of you guys to meet the people that I have fallen in love with here. All of the members, investigators and recent converts! It has been amazing! THank you for loving me and supporting me. I have the greatest family in the world and the best part is that we are sealed for time and all eternity if all of us individaully keep the commandments! MWAH MWAH MWAH!

I love the mission. Although it feels like an emotional rollercoaster ride, it is all worth it when you see someone come into the fold. Before the mission I thought it was a big fairytale where everyone gets baptized and the gospel changes everyones lives. But most of the time it is not that easy. However, I can tell you that I have seen miracles every day on my mission. And there are more to come.

Wow there is so much that I am missing I just know it...........sorry about that. I am trying to think. I am attaching pics to another email because this computer is being funny. Oh hannah! I saw Amanda from EFY last year at the temple. I gave her a big hug, it was really cool seeing a familiar face. I love you all! Thank you to all of my friends.

Stay tuned for another story that is unfolding as we speak! I know that something amazing is about to happen. Oh ps I love the scriptures more than I ever have before. It is insane. Miss you! XOXOXO I think about you all each individually.

Love Sister Fine

She loves dogs, but HATES Dog Hair!

Happy New p-day! :]

This is really akward having p-day on mon, but I know that it is only a matter of time before I get used to it. I think today was the first day I havent had mail hahaha. Im sure all the elders here are going to give me a hard time about it because I am the only one that gets mail. haha. I am very grateful for all the emails this week! I just finished ANOTHER tape for you guys and I am sending it off today. I am still waiting for a tape so that I can laugh really hard hahahaha. I cant wait! When I just think of you guys saying the things you write me I just laugh out loud hahaha. I think all the other missionaries prolly think im a psycho hahaha.

This week has been rough. But thats how missionary work goes. I have been crazy humbled this week. I have never felt this way before. I have never felt so inadequate. One by one all of our appointments cancelled on us almost every day. SO it was really hard. Also, our solid investigators either dropped us or didn't come to church yesterday. Very frusterating. I know that I just need to be more obedient and pray harder. We are really trying to help our investigators to understand the importance of keeping their commitments of reading, praying, and coming to church. That has been a struggle. I realized that you can do NOTHING without the spirit. Anyways things are going to be hard, I know that. Obviously there are some things that I really need to learn right now. Me and my companion still struggle. I am really trying hard to be patient amidst her half of the room being completely filthy and the other little things that drive me insane. But considering how I was before the mission, I think that I am doing better. I do love her. She is amazing and we have a good time most of the time. She is going through a lot of hard stuff in her life right now and I am doing my best help her with everything. She is very strong and she keeps getting stronger. Although we have some problems, we are still really close. You go through so much hard stuff with the companions you have, how could you not be close? Ya know?

Well anyways, things are good! I am keeping my chin up ;) ;). So we have 2 pets in the house that we live in. One is a black lab (keeper) and one is a psycho kitty (shadow). We ALWAYS have to leave our bathroom and room doors shut or else the cat pees on EVERYTHING! The first time it happened, I went into the bathroom and there was a horrible smell and I was sooooooooo confused. Sister Matthew and I were searching everywhere for the source of the stink! We finally found it and it was on our bathmat. HOW LOVELY. I wanted to kick that cat into the next county (hahaha grandma). And since then it has happened 3 other times. Wow....what a little poop. I always point at the cat with a death glare as I walk by it hahah. Like we really have time in our missionary lives to clean that up....Dont worry mom, I clean it up right away with disinfectant spray and throw the mat in the washer with bleach hahaha. Its insane. Our dog is named keeper and he is so cute. We love him but Im a meanie because I never let him in the room. I always tell him to go out because if he comes in then dog hair gets EVERYWHERE! ahhh hahaha. Hes cute though because he always greets us at the door. We are going to take him for a walk tomorrow morning for morning sport because he never gets to go out of the house. So heres a picture of me and him!

Also the pic of the building is what all of us missionaries call the great and spacious building hahahaha. It is humongous and it is a huge casino in our area. Pretty funny. It is raining today but its still like 95 degrees. I dont even know if I remember what 80 feels like hahahaha. It is usually cooler in the morning but not by much.

I miss all of you guys and I think of you when I have a rough day. I always think of how I want to make you and my heavenly father proud. That gets me through hard times. I wanted to put a picture of our family on the back of one of my tags but the pics of our fam are too big ;) I love it. I treasure everything that you have sent me. I have this binder that I keep all my letters and emails in. Everytime I see it on pday I am just so thankful for all the support I have! THANK YOU THANK YOU! I think the three things that melted my heart the most is seeing the trek pictures, cassie and mala picture, and the girls dance picture on the field. Wow I cant even express words. I miss seeing all of you and being able to give you kisses. I miss sleepovers w nah, getting kisses from the boys, talks with mom and dad, heart to hearts with cas and having shar make me laugh so freaking hard. But I am in the right place and I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! I pray for you everyday for your safety. I love you! I cant think of anything that has happened really in the last few days. OH WAIT! I sang at a funeral on saturday and it was a good funeral. I was really nervous, because it was someones special special funeral and I didn't want to mess it up but honestly I just sang my guts out and it was so fun. I love to share my testimony with song because sometimes I feel like I can do nothing else. I am FALLING IN LOVE with the people here. I love them all so much. I cannot wait for you to meet them. Can you please give mala the number to the hospital so she can call bob? He really wants to hear from her. I gave you her number and the hospitals number last time. He is having a rough time right now. I love that man. He is the sweetest little stinker pants in the world. If he lives to the end of my mission I want you to meet him. He is in there for kidney failure right now. We call him all the time and teach him over the phone though. He really wants to go to the temple and he is just so sweet. You guys would LOVE HIM! Anyways I have to go but I will talk to you next monday! MWAH MWAH MWAH! xoxoxoxo

Yours truly, Sister Fine

Beautiful Sister Fine!

Sister Fine and Keeper!

I met Sister Fine's first mission companion!

I had the opportunity to meet Sister Matthew, the companion that Sister Fine has talked so much about in her e-mails. She lives on the same island in Hawaii that I'm going to school and we met up on Saturday, September 3rd! I went and picked her up from Foodland in Laie and brought her back to my house to watch the BYU Provo football game. Then after that, we went to the beach and played in the waves talking about life and my older sister. To actually meet Sister Matthew made this whole experience more real for me. Before, it didn't feel like Corynn was actually on a mission...just away at college or some other life experience. To actually meet one of her companions made me realize that my older sister is dedicating her life to the Lord and is meeting wonderful people in the process. It was a beautiful day!

She is just as amazing (if not more) as Sister Fine explained in her e-mails and it was AMAZING to meet her!

Lesson Learned: Patience is a Virtue!

September 1st, 2011

Pday is now and forever going to be on mondays which is going to be weird to have 2 pdays in one week but whatever. So we have pday today and pday this monday.

So I think that the Lord is Humbling sister garner and I a lot. It has been so hard the past few days. I took for granted how many appointments we had and how many people were listening to us that I must have gotten prideful. So the last few days have been brutal plus the heat adds to it. But you know, I have never appreciated an open heart of a street contact more. Thigs I feel are going to continue to be hard but I know that I will grow from it. It is really really difficult, but I will live hahaha. I just need to keep a smile on my face and a bounce in my step. And I find that when I am exactly obedient, I am smiling, and I have a bounce in my step that things just go better! That is for all of us....not just in missionary work.

So the story of the week is.......Sister Garner and I were in a neighborhood of one of our new investigators. So we thought that we should stop by and say hello because our appointment with them wouldnt be for another week or so. So we go up and knock on the door. No answer. Knocked again. No answer. And our rule is that we knock 3 times before we leave the doorstep. As soon as we were about to knock for the 3rd time a couple walked up to this house like they owned the place. And that was akward since we were totally in the way hahaha. We told them who we were looking for, but they were out of town. They saw we were sweating like ccrazy so they invited us in to their home for some water. THey gave us water and the guy (Juan) started going off about the church and how he knew the book of mormon was true and all this stuff. In my head the spirit was so strong and it said, Sister Fine, you need to set this guy right now for baptism. I was so nervous! But I knew that the spirit was guiding me and I knew that he wouldnt trust me with those sacred messages unless I had faith. So I said, "Juan can I ask you a question...?" He said I could and I just said "Will you foolow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized by someone who holds the valid priesthood authority of God on Oct 1st?" And he said YES!!!! HAHAHAHAHA and he said, I might have to work that day! And I laughed so hard inside and said wow I think that we can work around that concern hahahaha. We have an appointment tonight with him and I hope that he is still commited! When we did this, we had only been talking to him for 5 min....yea. In my head I was like, "really God?" hahaha. But it turned out to be great!

Also there was this guy that is a former investigator that we started teaching again. His name is Jason and he is such a sweetie. He has a rare skin condition where if he goes out in the sun his skin just peels off. He is always in need for food and he is so humble. One time we had a lesson with him and some members and the members COMPLETELY DESTROYED the lesson. It was pretty horrifying. THey were basically convincing him to wait to get baptized for a long time. It was horrible. We then went over to the member's house and they gave us some food to take back to Jason. So we nknew that when we went back to him that we had to mend things and set him for baptism right at his door. So we prayed real hard and then we did just that, we set him at the door for Sept 24th. He is still praying to see if that is the right date, but I hope he sticks to it! I know that he can receive an answer to his prayers! If they are sincere!

Wow I cant even express the Joy I had when I saw a package from you guys. No words can express. The pictures made me cry. The trek pictures hit me the most because I know that the sprit was so strong there for you guys. Mom and Dad you are the cutest ma and pa on the flipping planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cried!

Nah and Shar! I am so proud of you that you are on varsity together! The Fine Sisters Cannot be STOPPED! I am so proud of you both.

Britton, I know that lately you have been feeling a little anxious. Its okay buddy I know how you feel. I know that the only thing that helps me is when I pray. When you feel scared, get on your knees and he will help you. I promise. I also promise that you are gonna be okay! I love you!

I want to get letters from my long lost siblings :] Little Stinker Bums. I love all of you guys and I miss you mucho! I think about you lots.

To answer your questions. I live in a house with members. We have our room together with two little twin size beds, a desk each and a closet to share. We also have a bathroom which is very nice. We have a dog named keeper that lives in the house and he is a little stinker bum hahaha. He is a black lab and wow does he get hair everywhere! I NEVER want an inside dog. I would have a heart attack with how messy it would get.

So it has been so hot that all the metal that I ever wear burns me and leaves marks. Its crazy, but kinda cool hahaha. One picture is where my necklace was burning me! Crazy huh! You can also see in that pic that fingers had burns on them. Crazy crazy!

Also the answer to the second question! We go on the computer at the family history center at our stake center. The stake center is our main building that we go to all the time. We have another gorgeous church building on Galleria that is way pretty. Whitney ranch ward meets there. It is hard because we have wards that meet at the exact same time in 2 diff buildings. So we just have to go on splits.

Im getting super tan by the way. Its awesome. But i am still white hahaha. Oh well. So this week I heard from Nick, You guys, Jim, Leidy (from pullman), Jeff and Missy and tas tas. It was awesome. I am catching up on writing today. I always say that but I really think that I am going to do it this time.

Sister Garner and I are doing lots better getting along. It was me all along. I just needed to be more patient. I love her so much and though we have a lot of differences, we have a ton of similarities. :] I love that sister!

So my trainer called me the other day! It was amazing! It was so good to hear her voice! I miss her so bad. Just knowing that she is in hawaii with cas is crazy! What kind of computer did cas end up buying?

Wow mom what a great calling for you! I am so excited for you! :] You are going to do amazing! And by the way, the sister in the ward are prolly teaching some yw age girls, (we are) and I am sure that they would LOVE for you to come out with them. It is so hard to find members to come out with us, it is crazy! But the thrill is great. I want pictures of my dance girls baby nah and sha sha on their first performance together! I am so proud of them! PS-I dont want to nag....but............WHERES MY TAPE from you guys?!?!?!?! AH! You little stinkers. It is so crazy that school is starting soon for you guys. School just started this last week and so its been a crazy week around here!

Daddy I hope you have fun on your trip with your girlfriend...hahahahaha (Rodney) and I hope you smoke em. Love you daddy!

Yes Nick is getting everything ready so he can send in his papers! AWESOME HUH! Daddy I think about you too. I think about all of you! I cant think of anything esle to say. Well I can but there is so much! I LOVE YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT FROM HOME! Its amazing.

Call sister Matthew, she would love to hear from you! 808-979-5662. Also can you tell her that Bob is in the hospital for Kidney failure. She texted us but I cant text her back. Tell her that he is fine but he will be home in the next few days. So that is where she can call him. the Desert Springs Hospital number is 702-733-8800. She can call him there. PAss the message on for me? thank you! GOtta go! I love you

Love yours truly sister fine

Miracles and Experiences GALORE!

August 25th, 2011

Hey! wow I have so much to tell you this week! and I only have a half an hour to do it so here goes!
Hannah thank you for the wallet! I actually use it for pass along cards so thank you nah for helping me make the work more effective. Every little thing that you all do for me helps me make the work more effective and I thank you.
It is freaking hot here! I actually have burns all over my hands from the steering wheel of the car and the bikes in taking them off and putting them on the bike rack. It is freaking hot. Sister garner and I were talking about how much easier walking or biking down a street would be if it wasnt so hot. But I guess that is our trial! God is prolly laughing at us and telling us that we need to drink more water hahaha.
We have had SO MANY miracles this week! and here is the letter I worte to the pres today telling about the miracles so I dont have to take the precious time to write thewm again.

Hey President!
Things are going reall great! Just wanted to share a couple of stories with you from this week.
There is this lady that we soft set for baptism yesterday. Her name is alex and she has an incredible story but I will just share it with you in a nutshell. 5 months ago she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. However, he was very sick because he was born 3 months early due to her having a allergic reaction to the sac he was growing in. The doctors were really worried when she was giving birth because chances were that both her and the baby would die. But I know that God has a plan for her and her little boy as well as her husband because they are both living and healthy as we speak! We taught her the restoration yesterday. I can tell you that it was the most spiritual lesson so far on my mission. The spirit was so strong and she recognized it. I know that she is going to get baptized someday because she started crying when we told her about the 1st vision. She is incredible! We have another appointment with her this next week and we hope to solid set her for baptism for this next month. She is excited to come to church!
The last story I will share is about a street contact. We talked to this guy named anthony and he seemed open. But we gave him a card with our number on it and he went on his way. Right after that we had realized that we COMPLETELY FORGOT about an appointment with an investigator. But don't worry! I all worked out and we got to have a spiritual lesson with that investigator that we had missed only a few hours later. Yesterday we got a call from a guy named Carey. He said that he had seen a card with the temple on it and wanted to give us a call because he was interested in the church. He left his number and we called him back to set up an appointment. If we had been at the lesson that we had originnaly forgot about, we would have not met Anothony, and then if we didn't meet anthony, we wouldnt have this appointment with his stepfather carey tonight! We are exicted and we know that that was the Lord's will.
I am doing well and I love my companion. She is teaching me so much!
Sister Fine

Actually my companion explained it better so here goes....

So We had an appointment with a lady named jenny at four on tues.  well in the heat of las vegas of confusion we totally forgot about it because we were biking and so hot and delirous.  Well around 4 we had stopped to talk to this kid named Anthony.  He was outside smoking and he wasn't super interested but he said we could come back.  Well he was singles ward age so we had to give him over to the elders.  After dinner we then realized oh no we forgot about Jenny!  So we rushed over there three hours late and she let us in.  We had a good lesson with her, she wasn't mad that we'd forgotten, and she wants to get baptized and all that jazz.  The story gets better.  The next morning we get a voicemail from some guy named Carey Smith.  He says that we gave him a card yesterday and that he wanted to learn more.  Anyone who's ever served a mission before knows that no one ever calls you when you give them a card.  This was a miracle.  So we called him back and said hey lets do a lesson and we set one up with him.  We asked him who he was and how he got our card.  He told us his step son Anthony left it lying around and he saw it and wanted to learn more.
What a miracle.  God made both me and my companion forget about our appointment on Tues. at 4 so that we could meet Anthony who's not even that interested, but who left a card lying around who then his step dad saw it, was interested and called us.  If that isnt God's timing I don't know what is.  Crazy Stuff!

Anyways! We are Super close to getting Gerry baptized! He only has one lesson left and he beleives everything that we tell him but he doesnt feel like he knows enough in order to get baptized. But we scheduled a lesson with him for this next week to have it at the temple. Since the spirit is so strong there obviously I know that that will do the trick! The Lord revealed that to me in my personal study the other day and to also have him write down the things he knows to be true about the gospel (his testimony) I know that because I recieved that revelation, that it is from God and it will be something that will help him come closer to christ! And sister Garner and I will sacrifice miles to do it. :] Bills baptism was awesome! Very simple and spiritual. He cried throught the whole baptism because he felt the spirit so strongly. He asked me to sing I beleive in christ at the last minute. It prolly sounded horrible because I wanst warmed up at all but he and the members seemed to enjoy it. I know that heavenly father gave me the gift of my voice so that I can share testimony thorugh that method. I am so grateful for that because there are sometimes that I feel that that is all that I can give. Just to let you know I am a super akward ,issionary and I sing to my recent converts hahaha. So I do my best.

Man I have to tell you that I have felt the spirit so strong today. I am lightheaded, have permanent goosebumps and my heart is pounding. I know that that means that all of you, my friends and family have a special purpose in God's plan. Seek out what that is and act upon it! That is my challenge for you, whether you are a member or not! :] and for goodness sake if you are not a member you should take the missionary lessons and invite them into your home! The restored gospel of Jesus Christ brings more happiness than we can bring to ourselves or that we can get from any other church. :] I know that what I say is bold but it is true!

Wow it felt like christmas today. I got letters from Nick, COrinne, Robin Udy, Jared and wendy burbidge, and daddy! :]

Nick holy crap! You are an incredible human. Just so you know, he sent me a freaking camelback and another present. I think he reads my mind because he sent me 2 out of 2 things I have been thinking about that I wanted. Thank you nick and wow you spoiled me.  NOOOO you MORE than spoiled me! You did not have to do that! So I took a picture right before I sent this email so you could see that I go the backpack! But I didnt open the other present yet until after so I wasnt wearing it yet but I put it on as soon as I could get it out of the package. Thank you!

THe first few day with my comp was very different. I walk really fast and she walks really slow. Which really bothers me. But I reallized that there were prolly people that would cross our path if we walked slower. So eventhough it drove me absolutley INSANE, I learned something from it. I am learning lots from her. One of the things is patience. I realized how much patience I do have on my mission and that is not very much. hahaha not at all. She is a lot different from me but that just means I have to learn patience to be able to embrace it rather than resent her. She is an amazing missionary and I have much to learn from her. I realized how sister matthew and I were so the same. I miss her but I know that I am here with sister garner for a reason.

Can you send me sheet music and church cd's? Especially Courage to stand strong sheet music! I have something in mind for the next fireside we do. I think that I will be singing let it begin. I also want to learn arrival on the piano. (in my spare time hahahahaha thats funny)

Um wow I always miss something and I am trying to think of it...hmmmmmmmm. Thank you for telling me all the stories and everything. All of your letters and everything has made me laugh super hard! I LOVE TO LAUGH! THANK YOU!

Thank you dad for supporting my financially on my mission. My goal is to someday pay you back because I am working as if I had payed for it because I knew that I would cherish it more. One day I will repay you. I love you daddy!

I love all of you and I think of you as I go to sleep right along with my investigators but especially my savior. I want you to know that I miss you and I love you with all of my heart. Thank you for the support. I feel very prompted right now for you to look for a missionary opportunity this week. One of you that reads this will have one. I know that that will happen because I am being prompted. Tell me what happened next week whoever that person is.

I feel so fortunate to have all the blessings that I do. Thank you for the support. I know this mission will change everything for me and my family, my friends and my fututre family. I feel so fortunate. If I have forgotten to write anything I will wrtie it in letters! I love you and I hope to catch up on all my letters today! Just be patient with me!
